Description

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine welcomes the Acid Fast Club for its 2016 Winter Meeting

TB kills more people worldwide than any other disease. In 2014, 9.6 million people contracted TB and 1.5 million died from the disease.

At the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine there are more than 120 laboratory scientists, clinicians, epidemiologists, statisticians, public health specialists and policy-makers. Our shared purpose is to reduce the global burden of TB, through high quality research, education and knowledge translation.

We believe that cross-discipline research including pathogen biology, host response, clinical development and social science will be needed to change TB. The Acid Fast Club has a long tradition of hosting cross-discipline research meetings and fostering cross-discipline collaboration. The School welcomes the Acid Fast Club!
